PERSONAL CEL/VAC CONCENTRATORS
CEL/VAC CONCENTRATORS are small footprint instruments designed primarily to add on to existing concentrator or freeze-dryer systems. By adding accessories such as our Dewar dry-ice trap and vacuum pumps, a complete system is available. Conceived as an economical instrument, researchers now have an option for their own "personal concentrator". The vacuum chamber is formed by using a polycarbonate desiccator cover which offers excellent chamber visibility. The cover is held in place by a manual safety latch. Light-weight rotors for various test tubes and micro-centrifuge tubes quickly achieve a top speed of fifteen-hundred revolutions per minute and stop smoothly within a few seconds without an electronic brake. A single temperature heater circuit is included to decrease evaporation times.
MODEL 48 CEL/VAC - Specifically designed for the small laboratory or as a personal concentrator, the unit accommodates the 24, 12, and 6 place rotors listed below. Greater sample capacity, both in number and volume of tubes may be achieved by stacking rotors by using the optional stacking adapter. Available rotors include the 24 place for micro-centrifuge tubes (1.5 to 2.0 ml), twelve place for 12 x 75 millimeter test tubes, and 6 place for 18 x 100 millimeter test tubes.
For immediate, short-run needs or increased capacities, connect the Model 48 CEL/VAC Concentrator to an existing concentrator or freeze-drying system. Inexpensive and innovative accessories are available to complete a stand-alone system.
CEL/VAC DNA Systems - Following the need of many laboratories for a drying system for solvents and small amounts of water, CEL offers the DNA Concentrator System. A corrosive resistant diaphragm pump with Teflon coated heads is added to the CEL/VAC concentrator, resulting in an economical and versatile drying system for DNA/RNA research. With optional bleeder valves and tubing kits, the system may be easily adapted to use with Gel Dryers, Rotary Evaporators, and Filtration devices. Call or
